The solution supports creating one or multiple risk mitigations to each risk. Mitigations can be created from within the Risk Register or directly in the Issue View. A Risk mitigation is either a subtask to an issue or a linked issue with a specific type.

1. Create Mitigations from Risk Register

Open mitigations by selecting the actions to the right then press the “Open Mitigations“ button. Mitigations created from the Risk Register are always linked issues to the Risk issue.

Important: The first mitigation must be created by a Jira admin. This is because the issue link type (is mitigated by / mitigate) is created which require admin permission.

2. Create Mitigations from Issue View

Mitigations are linked Jira issues. So you can either create a new mitigation by linking with the type “is mitigated by“ from the risk. Or linking from the mitigation directly to the risk with the type “mitigate“
