For each Jira project there is a corresponding risk register. Creating a Jira risk is the simple process of creating a normal Jira issue and attaching it to the selected risk register. A project can have multiple risks registers, a risk register can have risks from multiple Jira projects, a risk can be of multiple Jira issue types so the solution is truly flexible.

Creating a risk issue can be done both from the risk register as well as from any issue. Please see below for these two use cases.

Creating a risk from the risk register

Press the plus button in the risk register to add a risk issue. Once it is pressed the default Jira issue screen is displayed. Please note that you can select any project and issue types.

Adding existing Jira issue to a risk register

It is also possible to add any Jira issue to a risk register. First the Agile risk management widget needs to be opened in the issue screen. Then pressing “Go to Risk Register“ will add the issue to the corresponding risk register with severity “UNSPECIFIED“. The issue is also added to the risk register if any of the severity sliders are changed and then saved.
